Dear Bev and Brothers/Sisters from Louisville!
I received the letters that you had sent for our children. I handed
them out, but since it's the spring holidays we are answering your
letters only after Easter.
Also we had received the 100$ for the congregation and we thank you
for your kindness!
Soon it's Easter Holidays for which event we had been preparing for
6 weeks. In this last week there are a lot to do. Eva has to cook
and clean and I have to do the service. We skip the traditional lamb
meal (which we eat for Easter) this year because the winter was long
and the lambs are still young. But we will have the traditional easter
eggs, the ham and the spraying as I mentioned in a past letter.
The egg is symbolic for life, the spraying for renewal. On the second
day of Easter the boys are visiting girls, whom they spray with perfumes
and recite Easter poems to them. for this they receive an easter egg.
This holiday is an old holiday of customs and Christian beliefs. The
highest number of members is during this time of the year, when we
are having 3 days of service.
We wish you a Happy Easter with many attending members to the service
and a blessed holiday
