Gun Violence Prevention Team Forming: Members of the Unitarian Universalist community are invited to join and pray for this team that is seeking to implement a faith-based response to the scourge of gun violence. We are exploring ways to build awareness, church safety and emergency preparedness, and relationships with other faith communities through actions and advocacy. The team currently includes members of four Louisville congregations: TJUC, Crescent Hill Baptist, Crescent Hill Presbyterian, Highland Baptist. Our next meeting will be Saturday, September 21, at 11 a.m., in the Gathering Room (back building) at Crescent Hill Presbyterian Church.  We will discuss The Second Amendment: A Biography, by Michael Waldman, and plans for a “community read.” The book is available at Carmichael’s at a 20% discount if you say you are a member of the Gun Violence Prevention Book Club.
