Mission and Outreach

The Mission and Outreach Ministry supports and energizes First Unitarian Church's social justice activities.

Mission & Outreach enthusiastically supports the justice passions of congregants. Examples of our recent work include sponsoring a refugee family and funding the Solar Array Project on First U's roof. In addition, members of the Ministry work with partner organizations in the areas of Reproductive Justice, Environmental Justice, and Racial Justice. First Unitarian is a founding member of the Central Louisville Community Ministries and has recently joined the CLOUT Justice Ministry to promote and work for legislative change in our local area (shown at right, a few of the First U members who came to Louisville Metro Council to advocate for funding the Louisville Affordable Housing Trust Fund). We believe that by combining energies, we geometrically increase our effectiveness. For more information, or to become part of this work, contact missionandoutreachministry [at] firstulou.org.
