Some days, it is hard to remember that we are all more similar than we are different. Our news and social media stress controversy and division; we live in de facto segregated neighborhood. We may spend days without seeing anyone who does not look, think and act just like us. This separation makes it easier to see those of other races, incomes, and especially the homeless as – other or different.
Our speaker, Natalie Harris who is Executive Director of Coalition for the Homeless, hopes to share a little of her journey in trying to break down these barriers and to see others including the homeless as they are — in all their beauty and pain. Join us to learn about this complex subject, and, hopefully to expand our own ability to achieve the true community we all seek.
