There has been a terrible and tragic accident.
We pray for the people who have died and for their families.
May there be comfort for the grief.
We pray for the people who are injured. May there be healing.
We pray for the people who are missing and for their families keeping watch.
May there be reunification.
We pray for those families whose loved ones are missing and dead.
May they be held in love as they wait and grieve.
We pray for the workers at UPS and nearby.
May they be well supported in these days.
We pray for all of the helpers:
the more than 100 firefighters and 200 first responders,
the hospital staff,
the public officials,
the neighbors and friends.
May they find rest after long days, knowing that their efforts matter.
Finally, we pray for our whole community.
May we grieve together and heal well, each doing our part to take care of ourselves and one another.
