Events
We are offering a hybrid approach to our Sunday Celebration of Life services, both in-person and via zoom. Covid numbers in our community continue to fall and are now in the high range (down from very high), and First U is adapting as new information continues to emerge. There are several changes at church beginning Sunday, March 20, 2022:
- proof of vaccine is no longer required to attend church services, although we still highly recommend vaccination
- masks are required
- unvaccinated children may attend, but must remain with their parents. There is no childcare.
- masked singing (by the choir, and by the congregation) can resume
- adult and children’s in-person RE is now being offered
Once we drop into the Medium Risk level according to the source we use, covidactnow.org, masking and social distancing will become optional. Anyone who wishes to continue stricter precautions is encouraged to do so. We want everyone to feel safe being back together in church, and we want everyone to feel welcome!
To keep us all safe, several safeguards will remain in place. Good hand hygiene is a must. Our enhanced cleaning protocols in the building will continue. Enhanced ventilation in the building will continue. We ask that you stay home if you’re feeling unwell, or take a home covid test (with negative result) before attending. We will get through this together.

We encourage folks interested in upcoming events at First Unitarian to email
Due to staff limitations and forgetfulness of members, we don’t always get the website updated as promptly as one might wish.
