Flower Communion Sunday, June 14

Reminder: Send in your flower pictures by Saturday, June 13.This Sunday, we will be having our traditional Flower Communion but we’re having to do so in non-traditional ways. Weather permitting, the service will be held in our beautiful courtyard.  We want to see YOU as you share your flower.

Sharing Your Flower:  Please send in a picture of YOURSELF with your flower or flowers. (You can take a selfie or have someone else take the picture.) The flowers may be in the ground, cut and held or in a vase.  You could even use a painting of flowers if you’d like. Feel free to include family members or pets in your flower photo. Please send your photo to the Volunteer Desk by Wednesday.  Click here to send pictures.

Limited In-Person Seating: Want to attend in person? Limited seating will be available but you’ll need to contact the Volunteer Desk to sign up. Due to the size of the courtyard and social distancing requirements, we had to set a limit. Face masks will be required. See more below in the message from Trish.

A Message from the Worship Committee
You are invited to come to the First U Courtyard for our beautiful outdoor Flower Communion Service this Sunday. There will be limited, socially distanced seating, so please email the Volunteer Desk if you plan to attend so we won’t have to turn you away at the gate.  Remember your flower to share and your mask for your face.

The service will also be zoomed as normal, just a few more appropriately socially distanced masked people on your screen than normal.

Also, a guest appearance of Ethan McCollum playing guitar, Kyle Ellison playing banjo, and a masked choral quartet will lead the singing.

For you Zoomin’ boomers, don’t forget to take a pic of you and your flower (and whoever else you want in the image) to share in the virtual Flower Communion. It won’t be real if we don’t see you.
