I, ______________________________, acknowledge that I have read and understand the rules and requirements for renting and using the First Unitarian Church kitchen. I accept responsibility for returning the kitchen to its original state, and any damage that may occur as a result of my use. I understand that any licenses, certificates of insurance, and food service certifications must be submitted to the building supervisor prior to my event. I understand that if the kitchen requires further cleaning after my use, I may lose my security deposit at the discretion of the building supervisor.

• To use our kitchen, please ensure that someone in your organization/group has been trained and qualified to be a Certified Food Manager. You can go to statefoodsafety.com to become certified. 
• You are expected to leave the kitchen as you found it. All countertops, stovetops, and tables are to be wiped down.
• You are expected to sweep and mop the kitchen floor after use. Brooms can be found hanging next to the kitchen exit, across from the refrigerator. A mop and mop bucket can be found in the mop sink in the single stall bathroom. Dirty floors will result in retention of your security deposit.
• All trash must be removed from the kitchen and disposed of in the dumpster (located behind the courtyard on Library Lane).
• First Unitarian Church is committed to environmentally conscious actions. It encourages those using our facility to do the same. Renters are responsible for separating recycling from trash:

• Recycle: Plastic, Cardboard, Metal

• Do NOT Recycle: Styrofoam, Plastic bags, plastic wrap

If you have any questions about what is appropriate to recycle, please contact the building supervisor.

• All plate ware, cups, glasses, cutlery, and cooking dishes and utensils must be washed in the dishwasher (unless inappropriate eg. cast iron pans).
• All used towels must be set in the middle of the center counter.

• All items brought into the church must be removed. Any food, cups, plates, cooking utensils, trays, etc… left in the building will become the property of First Unitarian Church and will be disposed of. First Unitarian Church does not guarantee that you will be able to reclaim any left property. Left items will result in retention of your security deposit.
