Children and Youth are most welcomed at First Unitarian!

Our youngest ones may head straight for the nursery, our older ones start out in the sanctuary downstairs and then head up to their classrooms after the Moment for All Ages. Religious Exploration curriculum is based on the monthly worship theme such as “Repair” or “Invitation” which the adults are also exploring in the Celebration of Life. Each Sunday is a stand alone experience, you need not attend every Sunday, though of course, we’d love it!

• 12 Water Day II: Prepare to get wet! Bring a towel and extra clothes!
• 19: Board Game Day: A wide assortment of games for all ages
• 26: Build a Fort Day: Build a fort in the Raccoon Room and have a spooky time

• 2 Solar Oven Day: Build a pizza box solar oven to make s’mores
• 9 Peace Stone Day: Paint flat rocks with kind words to hide around the neighborhood 
• 16: Cooking Day II: Create goodies for a donation-based lemonade stand. Proceeds go to CLCM 
• 23 Jar Day: Decorate jars for Water Communion. Give to the congregation at coffee hour.
• 30: Water Day III The Last One:  It’s Water Communion Day!

Religious Exploration classes begin Sunday September 6th!  

It is important that caregivers complete a registration form for each child. You can click here to do so.  Here are the Classes (beginning September 6th):

• The Nursery: Tadpoles will be open for babies and pre-k  from 9:30am-12:15pm on Sundays.
• The Raccoon Room: Pre-K – Grade 2. Room 212. Teacher: Ms. Loren & guest teachers will begin in the sanctuary with their families and then head upstairs with their teacher after the Moment for All Ages. Class ends at noon, parents will come up and get their children following the service.
• The Fox Hole: Grades 3 and up Room  202. Ms. Christina & guest teachers will begin in the sanctuary with their families and then head upstairs with their teacher after the Moment for All Ages. Class ends at noon, parents will come up and get their children following the service.
• Youth Group: Grades 5 and Up We hope to meet on a regular basis at the church and around town.
