MAM Memo Follow-Up with Changes
Our Election Week activities have been modified since introduced in the October 15 memo. (If you did not get a chance to see that memo, you’re encouraged to check it out.)
 

FLOWING in the EXTREME STREAM II
LOVE AT THE CENTER
When extremes cause me to feel fear, I often ask myself, “What if I applied love to that fear?”  My body and spirit often respond with relaxation, creativity, hope and courage; sometimes this is immediate and other times I must be patient with my return to center.  Once I am there, l sense a greater capacity for action instead of reaction.
(Pause)
I invite you to pause for a moment, take a deep breath, and name a fear in your life.
Then ask yourself, “What if I applied love to this fear? Let your inner wisdom speak slowly to you.
(Deep Breath.) 
May you, may we, find ways to help one another remain afloat in the churning waters so we can return to the center, love, over and over again.
 

ELECTION WEEK @FirstULou

Gatherings for Mind, Body and Spirit
We rearranged a few things since Tuesday’s MAM MEMO.  We now have five different opportunities to gather during Election Week. Please let Peggy Muller know if you can help with welcoming or other practical aspects of these gatherings.  Thanks, Rev. MAM
Sunday, November 3

  • 11am     Worship Service: Election Day Promises                             (remember daylight saving time begins)
  • 5pm to 6pm Drumming Circle in Sanctuary or Upstairs
    Bring your own drum if possible.
    The drum is akin to the heartbeat of mother earth.
Monday, November 4

  • 6pm to 7pm Gathering in Voice and Song
    Rev. Mary Ann and EthanWith hymnals in hand we will have a hymn sing.  You choose the hymn and our pianist, Ethan, will lead us in song.  Also, you can select a reading from the back of the hymnal and read it (or have it read) as part of the evening’s content.  We will also have candles lit silently for joys and concerns.
Tuesday, November 5
          Election Day
Wednesday November 6

  • 6:30pm to 7:30pm  Zoom Only: Meditation and Check-In
    Rev. MaryAnn will host this time of meditative reflection and sharing.
Thursday, November 7

  • 5:30pm to 6:30pm Evensong Meditative Service
    Linette Lowe and Rev. Mary Ann
    A calming service for mind, body and spirit.
    Poetry, Simple Songs, Readings and Reflection

 

I hope you can join us for one or all four of these opportunities for communal gathering.
