Calling All Santa’s Helpers! Deadline: December 8
Holiday Assistance for Coleridge-Taylor Families
During the upcoming holiday season, we are again reaching out to our neighbors at Coleridge-Taylor Montessori School, located at 1115 W. Chestnut Street.  The school’s Family Resource Center coordinator, Phillip Baker is encouraging $50 VISA gift cards that can be distributed to the family, but will gratefully accept any gift cards in any amount!If you would like to donate a gift card, please contact Mary Ballard via text or phone at (502) 594-9347, or via email. She can pick up your gift card from you, or you can drop off or mail to her (contact Mary for address). You may also drop off your gift card at church, click on the church website, write a check payable to First Unitarian Church and write “Coleridge Taylor” on the memo or online.
Mary will be at a table after church on Sunday, December 8 to collect gift cards or monetary donations. Contact Mary with any questions, and thank you so much for your generosity!
Poinsettias for Christmas Eve Vespers $15
Following longstanding tradition, the Worship Ministry again offers you the opportunity to purchase a beautiful red poinsettia(s) to be displayed at Christmas Eve Vespers. The poinsettia may be in someone’s honor or memory. You can take it home after the service. Auction Event: 3rd Annual FirstU Christmas Party December 7
From Donna Corbett: For those of you who purchased tickets, please check your email for an email invite from me. If you missed the church auction or just didn’t know your holiday schedule at the time, there’s still plenty of room if you would like to attend.The party is Saturday, December 7 from 5pm-8pm. Lot’s of food, drink, singing and a great time. The party will be held at my son Chase’s house, 215 E 9th Street, New Albany Indiana in the Historic Mansion District. Just text/call Donna Corbett at 812-399-2600 and pay at the door. Price $35.00. If you want to come but just can’t afford it — we can work something out.
We Love Other People’s Birthdays!
First Unitarian’s Birthday Club starts in January and we need your help.  Each third Sunday during coffee hour after church, we will announce and celebrate birthdays of members and friends of our congregation.We need volunteers to help us by bringing cakes for birthdays. We plan on 50 celebrants at each birthday bash so several cakes are planned for each month.  We will have punch and cake. Ice cream donations are also appreciated.

La Casita Center provides support and empowerment based on the needs of the community, using a ground-up strategy to help the Latinx community access services and overcome barriers. Volunteers and donations of diapers, food and clothing are needed and welcomed. They are located near the church at 223 E. Magnolia Avenue, 40208.
