The annual Christmas Eve Vespers service includes an honoring of the many traditions as part of a winter celebration, the Winter Solstice, Hanukkah, and the traditional celebration of the birth of the baby Jesus. The lush poinsettia display honors the memory of loved ones and special people in our lives. The service begins with a half hour of Musical Preludes by individuals and the First Unitarian Church Choir and the First Unitarian Church Band. The service concludes with the passing of the flame as all join in singing of Christmas carols in our beautiful darkened sanctuary!  Afterwards, a reception follows in the social hall. All are welcome, members, family, and friends!
