Animism as Futurism: A Druidic Way to Live the 7th Principle

Understanding plants, animals, and even landscapes and natural features as Beings in their own right can be a stunning and uplifting experience. For many of us, it isn’t always clear how to show respect for the web of life and what that even means in actual practice, much less how to see our place within it. No need to fantasize and expect your tree out back to sprout a Disney-esque face and chat with you, there are real and meaningful ways to appreciate your so often unrecognized neighbors and get to know them better. This service will explore modern ways to begin to form relationships with nature and to remember how we are an integral part of it. It will touch on the history, psychology, and the mystery of Animistic belief, and why it might just be one of the more creative and useful ways forward into a safer, healthier, more equitable future.
