The term ‘theology’ is one that at times causes Unitarian Universalists to pause, given the variance of theist beliefs among UUs. A broad understanding of the word focuses on the study of the nature of God and/or religious belief. Regardless of how one views the nature or presence of the Divine, the religion of Unitarian Universalism upholds as sacred the ideal of democracy…individuals having a voice within the collective. This Sunday, as we near one of the most impactful elections of our lifetimes, Rev. Lori will use a theological (and secular) lens to examine the catastrophic importance of voting in 2020.
