This will be a fantastic visual presentation of many of God’s beautiful creatures that reside in our own backyard. Even if you know about our rich urban diversity, you will be amazed by all the animals around us in the middle of the city of Louisville.

Rev. Lee Payne is associated with Cave Hill Cemetery as the Manager of Security, Chaplain, Spokesperson, wildlife specialist and ambassador. He’s also an assistant pastor at Beargrass Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Eastern Kentucky University.

As a nature and bird lover, Rev. Payne is a Board Member of the Beckham Bird Club, President of the Louisville Audubon Society, involved in Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky, Louisville Nature Center, E.P. Tom Sawyer State Park, Kentucky Ornithological Society, the Kentucky Warbler, Wild Commonwealth podcast and is a board member of Beargrass Creek State Nature Preserve. He’s also associated with Gilda’s Club of Kentuckiana, the Muhammad Ali Center, the Association of the Louisville Orchestra, NAACP, and the Mayors’ Office of Louisville and Richmond, KY.  While security is his primary job function by day, Rev. Lee Payne also enjoys birdwatching, looking for owls, and spreading joy and laughter to people.
